Inheriting a questionable economy, I caught the brilliant idea that a boost in defense budgets would result in a trickle-down effect on consumer spending. Working with Pentagon personnel I’d just appointed to help me parse out this spending spree, I drummed up a few doomsday scenarios and began issuing statements about our lack of military readiness — how if we didn’t begin improving the speed of our armed forces, freedom itself would soon be in grave danger. All was proceeding swimmingly until the military awarded the two largest contracts in the new spending wave to Boeing and Lockheed rather than the smaller aerospace firm over which Rusty Kincaid reigned as CEO.

Rusty, being a hard-ass, did not appreciate the fact that his firm got slighted out of $28 billion despite the $6 million he’d funneled to the Republican party over the years, with a significant portion of that contributed to my campaign. In fact, he took the whole slight as justification for a personal vendetta. He spent another $6 million to get the right people to dig out the truth behind the bogus internal reports I’d used to kick-start the spending spree, and succeeded in exposing numerous examples of blatant corruption — including, for example, a $70,126.47 line-item for a latrine door charged by one of the winning contractors. Ultimately Rusty successfully sparked a movement in the House of Representatives to repeal all of my defense-budget increases and then some.

Not exactly cheery about Rusty’s whistle-blowing efforts, I embarked on my own little exposé. With the assistance of the FBI, CIA, NSA, and DEA, I dug up some serious dirt on the esteemed Mr. Kincaid and invited the media, the SEC, and the DOJ to the party. It seemed Rusty, a married man and father of four, was flying his brood to multiple annual Caribbean vacations aboard the company’s private jet. Untaxed improvements to his Westchester County mansion were routinely provided by a subsidiary of his conglomerate’s main holding company, and the mansion itself, along with real estate holdings in Florida, the Bahamas, and the Yucatan Peninsula, had been financed by zero-percent loans fronted the company — loans that slipped his mind, and the agenda of the company’s board, when it came to repaying them, along with what would have been the massive tax bills for these unconditional grants. When he did take legitimate business trips in the company jet, he would arrange for a harem of underage strippers to join him, whom he paid handsomely for sexual favors and occasionally impregnated.

Thus, for his service to taxpayers in reducing my needless Pentagon spending increases to nil, Rusty, once exposed, was rewarded with divorce, $600 million in shareholder lawsuit payments, and federal and state indictments on charges of tax evasion, racketeering, embezzlement, mail fraud, soliciting live sex shows in an aircraft crossing state lines, and prostitution. He went bankrupt from the divorce and civil settlement and pled out the criminal portion of his docket for a fifteen-year federal prison sentence, six of which he served.
